Hoi allemaal,

It is few days ago, what I have seen an amazing movie "Das Boot", one of most impressive movie from crazy days of WW2 together with very old but simple amazing, and hard, and bloody movie "Nebeští jezdci" - Sky riders, a movie about Czechoslovaque bomber sq RAF No 311 from 1968... I have reflected about these days, about my grandmother, she was a member of 311 bomber squadron and she knew these men, who never returned, who died over Germany in their Wellingtons. Losts of 311 were really very heavy, they had 91% chance they died before a turnus end. But, they were 3 weeks best bomber sq of RAF... Terrible days...
1942 was a year of breakpoint. Many men died and there was not a chance continue as a bomber sq. RAF changed a status of 311 bom. sq. They started patrols over Atlantic. They hunted U-boots. And they destroyd 5 U-boots (U-106 XB, damaged, U-578 VIIC, destroyed, U-966 VIIC destroyed, U-971 VIIC destroyed, U-1060 VIIF, destroyed, U-3523 XXI, destroyed)...
As I said, terrible days. I started a hunting as well. Hunting for datas, planes, blueprints and I found really very interesting sourcies... maybe somebody will use it
