Hi all,
ENVY would like to introduce a brand new set of 10 x photorealistic interior scenes for C4D and Maxwell. Scenes include all models, textures, lighting and render settings. This is a downloadable product and is available at: http://www.envy-studio.co.uk/products
We hope you like them!

Looks fabulous.. Does maxwell not support the c4d native hair/fur. That carpet looks like displace rather than hair.

I don't think it does.

Maybe maxwell has its own hair, i don't know. But furry carpets have become a must in archviz. Can't do interiors without furry carpets these days. And displace doesn't look that good compared to hair.

Nice render! How's the rendertime for this one? I'm not a terrible fan of the amount of noise that's still visible. You also terminated the render early I think, the right side clearly shows a line where a portion of the render has seen less progressive iterations and thus has more noise.

Yes I agree. You have to a lot of free time to let Maxwell do his job.

hi there Marijn and thanks for the nice comment! You are correct about this particular render. I set it up to have a SL of 25 (quite high!) but it reached 18.6 before I had to get on with the next scene! If you let it run a little longer (maybe to SL 20) then the noise will almost definitely be totally eradicated. I am quite pleased with the lighting overall though.

Maxwell will have a hair engine in the next release if the rumors posted on their forum are true...

It can produce very nice images. As said, you need to have some time to let the engine do his job.
Vray has a fur option as well but I like the hair of C4D more to be honest.
Peace,
