Hallo iedereen,
Met veel trots kondig ik namens het hele team onze eerste wedstrijd aan! Hieronder vind je alle details. Maak er iets moois van!

Omschrijving opdracht:
Maak een lounge-zetel. Gebruik je fantasie en maak er een mooie en aparte creatie van. Uiteraard wordt gekeken naar techniek, maar ook originaliteit wordt beloond. Zorg verder voor een mooie presentatie. Je hoeft geen omgeving te maken, maar de zetel moet wel zo mooi en duidelijk mogelijk gepresenteerd zijn.
Regels:
- De wedstrijd start op 17 maart 2009, en loopt tot 1 mei 2009 13.00u (GMT + 1). Je hebt dus ongeveer anderhalve maand de tijd.
- Modelleren en renderen wordt gedaan in Cinema 4D. Gebruik van externe textures is niet toegestaan. Alles moet dus 100% eigen werk zijn. Kleine nabewerking zoals het contrast aanpassen in Photoshop is toegestaan.
- De lounge-zetel moet voor deze uitdaging worden gemaakt. Indien blijkt dat eerder gemaakt werk wordt gebruikt volgt diskwalificatie.
- De afmetingen van de final render moeten minimaal 800x800 en maximaal 1920x1080 zijn. Een afmeting van bijvoorbeeld 1920x800 of 800x1080 is dus ook mogelijk.
- Je moet minimaal 1 WIP posten in het WIP topic (http://www.c4dlounge.eu/forum/showthread.php?t=97). We raden je aan zo veel mogelijk WIP's te posten om het proces zo doorzichtig mogelijk te maken en de contest interessant te houden. Hoe meer WIP's, hoe meer feedback, en dat is natuurlijk ook positief voor de ontwikkeling van je final.
- Finals moeten worden gepost in het FINALS topic (http://www.c4dlounge.eu/forum/showthread.php?p=1018#post1018), inclusief een wireframe render.
- Remote hosting van images is niet toegestaan, alles moet via de attachment optie worden geplaatst.
- De winnaar wordt gevraagd zijn scene te uploaden, zodat de stoel bij het frontpage logo kan worden gezet.
- Per model moet je één final render posten. Dus kies het mooiste perspectief.
- Meerdere inzendingen per persoon zijn toegestaan. Je kan wel maar één prijs per persoon winnen, maar je verhoogt natuurlijk wel je winstkans.
- In geval van discussie/onduidelijkheid heeft de jury het laatste woord.
- De jury bestaat momenteel uit de volgende leden: Rich_Art, Morris, brammelo en Marijn. Hier kunnen nog enkele juryleden bijkomen.
Prijzen:

De winnaar mag als eerste kiezen, dan de nummer twee, etcetera. Met zes prijzen maak je dus altijd een goede kans om een prijs te winnen, ook al heb je nog relatief weinig Cinema 4D ervaring. In het verleden is al gebleken dat onervaren leden die goed hun best doen vaak vrij hoog scoren.
Naast een fysieke prijs verdien je natuurlijk eeuwige roem en krijgt de winnaar een plekje op de frontpage. Ook wordt zijn lounge-zetel naast het logo gezet.
Ik zou zeggen, barst los en maak er iets moois van! Vragen over de regels kan je in dit topic plaatsen.
Assignment:
Create a lounge chair. Use your imagination and make something beautiful and original. Both technique and concept are rewarded. Also, make sure your chair is presented nicely. You should not make a background environment, but you should have a nice lighting (such as a studio setup). Think of it as a product you are trying to sell.
Rules:
- The contest starts on march 17 2009, and ends at may 1 2009 13.00h (GMT+1).
- Everything should be done in Cinema 4D. You may only make small alterations in Photoshop (such as changing the contrast).
- Everything should be created for this challenge, and it should be created by you. That includes textures. So no external textures are allowed.
- The final render should have a resolution between 800x800 and 1920x1080 pixels. Resolutions like 1920x800 or 800x1080 are therefore also allowed.
- You have to post at least one WIP in the WIP topic (http://www.c4dlounge.eu/forum/showthread.php?t=97). Try to post as many WIP's as possible to make the whole process more transparent. This will also result in more feedback and more exposure for your project.
- Final render should be posted in the FINALS topic (http://www.c4dlounge.eu/forum/showthread.php?p=1018#post1018), including a wireframe render.
- Remote hosting of images is not allowed, you must upload pictures via the attachment function of the forum.
- Winners should send their scene for validation. We will also use the winning scene to render it next to the forum logo.
- Per model, you may only upload one final render. So choose the best perspective.
- You can enter the contest with several finals (of different models). You can only win one prize per person, but it of course increases your chance of winning.
- In case of any sort of conflict or unclearity, the admin team has the final verdict.
- The jury consists of the following members: Rich_Art, Morris, brammelo and Marijn. Other judges may be added during the course of the challenge.
