Here is my final for the contest. Modeling was done with R 14, rendering with VrayforC4D. As always, it's been fun and thx again for all the comments and suggestions. Good luck to everyone else taking part here, I've seen a lot of great ideas coming to image.

Ah, the story:
Some past day in the Middle Ages, a boy named Merlin, who was already proficient in alchemy, and his friend, met a young wannabe knight. To cure him from his vaingloriousness, they played him this medi-evil prank but after that, they became friends, nonetheless. The rest is history, well, or at least a legend.

PS

I still hope that the horse escaped.
Really ...
Rendering is not a nice thing for horses. I made this shocking discovery during research for this image.
Wikipedia says: "Rendering can refer to any processing of animal products into more useful materials, or more narrowly to the rendering of whole animal fatty tissue into purified fats like lard or tallow. Rendering can be carried out on an industrial, farm, or kitchen scale."
Well, this gives a render farm quite a new meaning.
I hope the horse got away

Hier mijn inzending.

Here's my piece of work and I would thank to all who commented my thread, because it kept me running forward with the whole project.

Didn't had time to comment other works, so I just say that you all did some nice work!

Default Middle Ages Challenge: Warwolf Trebuchet

Here is my final: inspired by a real existing trebuchet, called "Warwolf". I enjoyed making it. It was great fun to participate and it was very interesting following each and every wip-thread. Fantastic entrees here already!

Cheers,
Cha
